The student should continue practicing the
subject until they become better and can perform the task smoothly. As the student progress they can move on to do more
challenging tasks.
Students should use time at home
to study and find ways they can implement their learning while having a little fun. Both the parent and the
student can come up with ideas of how to incorporate key subjects into their day to day experiences. Such as going over
math problems while baking, learning math problems on the computer game, or while playing a sport, or rewarding the student
when they can solve problems, or demonstrate what they have learned in a particular subject.
Students should be encouraged to
share what they have learned on a daily basis. They should also be encourage to discuss what they find challenging so
that the parent and family members can try and assist the student in everyway possible.
Family members can use game time
to help develop their student. For example, while riding in the car, the parent can scramble words and have everyone
in the car to try and figure out the word. The words should be on the level of the student. The parent
can give math problems at an enjoyable time to try and help the student develop their math skills.
To help a student to develop their
comprehension skills, parents or the student can use their students favorite movie or TV program friends etc. to
discuss things that have occurred and what might be the outcome in the end of a situation; giving the student a few choices
to select from and having them to eliminate the answers that are not key, next have the student to come down to two answers
that might be correct, and finally have the student to determine their final answer.
Implementing subjects into fun
time is just one of the successful ways to help students feel good about learning, and a good way to increase their learning
skills; all while the family is spending time together.
These types of learning experiences
will help the student to develop long life learning experiences and not just structured book learning. Students should
learn how to include practical experiences that will assist them in developing academically for the current time, and that
they can use to throughout the course of their life.
